A UK Biobank study of over 90,000 people suggests that using weekends to catch up on lost sleep may lower the risk of heart disease by up to 20%. The study contradicts previous beliefs that it was impossible to catch up on sleep, although some research suggests oversleeping and undersleeping could have similar effects.
