Steward closer to finalizing Massachusetts hospital sales

Steward Health Care is selling four Massachusetts hospitals and finalising the sale of two more, according to federal bankruptcy court documents. Lifespan Health System is paying $175m for St. Anne’s Hospital in Fall River and Morton Hospital in Taunton. Lawrence General Hospital is set to take over Holy Family Hospital for around $28m. The company has yet to finalise deals to sell St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center and Good Samaritan Medical Center to Boston Medical Center.
