OSER1 protein found to have great influence on longevity

Researchers from the University of Copenhagen have found that a protein called OSER1 greatly influences longevity. Present across a range of animals, including humans, the protein was identified among a group regulated by the transcription factor FOXO. The discovery could lead to new treatments for age-related diseases and provide greater understanding of human aging.
