Sales Force acquires cloud based data security startup Own for $1.9 billions

Salesforce is set to acquire cloud-based data security firm Own Company for $1.9bn in cash, a company it already owns a 10% stake in. The move aims to boost Salesforce’s data security and privacy offerings by the end of 2025. Salesforce also announced it will buy AI voice agent Tenyx to enhance its protection and compliance solutions. In related news, Salesforce CTO Parker Harris plans to sell $800k of company stock, while the firm unveiled an AI-powered internal job experience and training platform, ‘Career Connect’.
