Russian ‘Doppelganger’ influence campaign exposed through internal documents, seized accounts

The US Department of Justice (DOJ) is seizing 32 domains linked to three Russian organisations, including SDA, Structura National Technology and ANO Dialog. The organisations allegedly spread disinformation to sway US voters. The sites were created by a Russian campaign named “Doppelganger”, linked to the Putin administration, and several senior figures have previously been sanctioned in connection with the Russia-Ukraine conflict. The campaign disseminated content from sites appearing to be mainstream US news outlets, promoting Russian interests.
