Fortinet Confirms Customer Data Breach via Third Party

Security company Fortinet confirmed a data leak that impacted less than 0.3% of its clients, after hacker “Fortibitch” leaked 440GB of data on BreachForums. The hacker claims to have accessed data from Fortinet’s Azure SharePoint site and released it after failed ransom negotiations. The breach is a reminder of the risks to businesses using SaaS and cloud services without security measures in place.
