Many women skip care due to access issues, survey shows

A Deloitte survey found women in the US are 35% more likely than men to delay or skip healthcare due to access, cost and negative past experiences. The research also found women require an average of 9.9% more medical services than men. A total of 50% of women reported delaying medical care in the past year. The reasons for skipping care include cost, long wait times, transportation issues and poor prior experiences.
