Ever wonder how crooks get the credentials to unlock stolen phones?

Law enforcement agencies led by Europol’s European Cybercrime Center have shut down a service that unlocked over 1.2 million stolen or lost phones so they could be reused. The Argentinian phishing service, iServer, sold access to platforms facilitating this via email, text, and voice calls. Authorities arrested the individual behind iServer and identified over 2,000 clients who had accessed the platform since 2018.
