Texas attorney general, generative AI company settle over accuracy allegations
Texas-based healthcare AI company Pieces Technologies has settled with Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton over allegations of misleading advertising about its products’ accuracy. Paxton claimed the company’s metrics were “likely inaccurate,” misleading hospitals using the tools about their accuracy. Pieces denied any wrongdoing, maintaining its error rate was accurate, and clarified that its settlement was not financial but an “assurance of voluntary compliance.”
