How Russia, China & Iran Are Targeting US Elections

Ahead of the 2024 US presidential election, adversaries including Russia, China, and Iran have increased their cyber operations aimed at influencing the outcome. While the US has prepared for such threats, covert influence campaigns attempting to exploit various areas of tension and gain public influence are a growing concern. Russia is the most prolific adversary, using a whole-of-government strategy and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to disrupt and influence US elections. Iran and China also pose significant threats, amplifying polarising issues and targeting specific candidates or parties.
