A London Hospital Is Asking Its Own Workers for Blood After Cyberattack

A London hospital, King’s College Hospital, has been forced to request blood donations from its staff, following disruption of blood supplies due to a ransomware attack. The cyber assault on data management provider Synnovis led to the hospital being unable to match patients’ blood types as frequently as usual. Nationwide disruption also includes delayed operations, postponed blood sample tests, and hospitals resorting to handwritten records.
