Major London hospitals have declared “critical incidents” following a major IT incident attributed to Russian cybercriminal group, Qilin. The suspicious activity crippled the digital systems with detrimental disruption to healthcare services. Former chief of National Cyber Security Centre, Ciaran Martin, remarked on the severity of the incident, while Health Secretary Victoria Atkins confirmed patient safety remained the top priority alongside restoration of services.
