Abbott and Medtronic Partner to Advance Diabetes Care

Abbott and Medtronic are partnering to create an integrated continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) system for use with Medtronic’s automated insulin delivery and smart insulin pen systems. Using Abbott’s FreeStyle Libre technology, the move could help over 11 million people with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes worldwide manage their condition more effectively by enabling precise insulin dosing and reducing the care burden.
