The U.K. National Health Service has announced a $27 million project to create a new security operations center, following the WannaCry cyberattack earlier this year which affected over 50 NHS Trusts. The center will improve security capabilities and provide guidance to NHS Trusts on cybersecurity. It will also ensure that all NHS organizations are following best practices and perform ongoing monitoring for emerging threats. The funding will also invest in NHS Digital, which will provide a monitoring service and share threat intelligence with all health providers.
