The UK’s National Health Service (NHS) will spend £20m ($27m) to build a security operations centre, which is designed to improve protection of hospitals from cyber attacks. The investment comes six months after NHS infrastructure was severely affected by the WannaCry ransomware attack. The centre will offer advice on information security, ethical hacking and malware analysis and will work to ensure “best practices” are followed. The NHS has not yet announced an opening date.
