AHA, H-ISAC warn hospitals about Black Basta following Ascension cyberattack

Healthcare centres in the US are on high alert after a series of cyberattacks by Russia-linked ransomware group, Black Basta. H-ISAC and the AHA have recommended technical mitigation measures, but the Ascension health system in St. Louis is among those heavily impacted. Black Basta is reported to have extorted over $100 million since its emergence and healthcare providers are urged to heighten their cybersecurity protocols.
