AI advancements being exploited for email cyberattacks

Cybercriminals are exploiting generative AI capabilities, like ChatGPT, to improve the sophistication of their operations such as creating unique email content, crafting realistic phishing emails and perpetrating invoice fraud, among others. Cybersecurity leaders are urged to prioritise AI-native solutions that identify individual entities, understand the context of communication and analyse email content to counter these threats, given the limitation of traditional security systems in detecting cyberattacks powered by AI.
