Alert: New DLL Variant Used For Malicious Code Execution
Cybersecurity researchers have identified a new variant of dynamically linked library (DLL) that could potentially be exploited by malicious actors for hijacking search orders. This latest DLL variant could primarily affect users of Windows 10 and 11. A proof-of-concept experiment showed that the vulnerability could be exploited to inject custom DLLs and run malicious code. To combat this, organisations are advised to focus on parent process analysis and monitor unusual processes.
