Allowing Medicare to Negotiate Drug Prices Remains Broadly Popular Among Voters, Though Most Are Unaware of the Law and Its Projected Savings
85% of US voters support Medicare negotiating drug prices for older users, potentially saving billions of dollars by 2026, according to a KFF Health Tracking Poll. Despite this, 65% of voters are unaware of the law allowing such negotiations, and 75% haven’t heard about the savings already made. While most older voters expect it to lower their prescription costs, voters are divided over who should take credit for the law.
