Allscripts iPad app waves ‘Wand’ over EHR functionality

Healthcare technology company, Allscripts, has released an iPad application called Wand, which offers mobile access to common functions of its Electronic Health Records (EHR) technologies. The app allows physicians to access patient information, input real-time data and access EHR information after hours. Allscripts aims to simplify the user experience by focusing on the core functions that physicians need most. Wand is secure, with no patient data stored on the iPad itself, and no on-site training is required to use the app.
