In the wake of a major email theft from top U.S. officials, tech giants Amazon, Google, and Microsoft have begun revealing more about their cybersecurity measures. Despite arguments that data is safer on platforms owned by these corporations as opposed to government-owned machines, officials are calling for increased efforts to secure critical infrastructure. Meanwhile, cloud computing firms are creating “honeypots” or bait locations to trap hackers and identify threats using AI.
