America witnesses $1.5 billion in Cyber Crime losses so far in 2024

Cybercrime losses in the US have nearly doubled from $720 million to $1.5 billion in the first half of 2024, according to the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3). The FBI has initiated a public awareness campaign to mitigate these crimes. A Comparitech report also reveals a breach in US educational institutions since 2018 resulted in $2.5 billion losses.
