Telehealth, home hospitalisation and data-driven personalised care are emerging trends in healthcare in the Asia-Pacific region, as outlined by medical professionals during a HIMSS23 APAC panel discussion. Professionals discussed the acceleration of digital transformation and telehealth due to the pandemic, while the potential for genomic data to personalise patient care was also emphasised. However, appropriate patient consent around the use of such data and ethical considerations must be addressed.
