ARM Patches Mali GPU Bugs That Threaten Android Phones and Chromebooks

Semiconductor and software design company, ARM, has discovered and patched a security flaw in its Mali GPUs that enabled non-privileged users to misuse GPU memory processing. The vulnerability, named CVE-2023-4211, was present in multiple devices such as smartphones, tablets and gaming consoles. ARM has issued patches and advised users to update their software. Only three out of four vulnerable versions were patched. Google is credit for discovering the vulnerability.
