Ascension Files Placeholder Breach Report for May Hack

U.S. hospital chain Ascension has filed a preliminary breach report related to a ransomware attack that disrupted patient care for weeks. The breach affected at least 500 people. Investigations into the breach are ongoing and final findings will be released in the coming weeks. Software vendor Change Healthcare is yet to report its data breach from a February cyberattack that is expected to affect tens of millions. Breach notifications to affected individuals are likely to start by the end of July.
