Assurances given over cyber security at Dumfries and Galloway Council

Dumfries and Galloway Council has reassured its cyber security after a cyber attack hit NHS Dumfries and Galloway last month, putting “significant quantity” of its data at risk. The Council’s audit, risk and scrutiny committee has reviewed its cyber security and the council is meeting UK government PSN and National Cyber Security Centre Cyber Essentials certifications. Controls and plans are in place to mitigate future risks.
