Asynchronous video for pre-op boosts patient and staff experience

To improve patient care and optimize staff time, Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Center (TBRHSC) implemented asynchronous video technology across its four hospitals. The technology, which provides pre-surgical information to patients and caregivers, saves staff from having to continuously relay the same information, optimizes staff time, and improves the consistency of information delivery. To date, over 250 hours of video have been watched, reducing inbound patient questions by a factor of 15.
