At Doxy.me, simplicity is key to telehealth security
Telemedicine technology vendor Doxy.me has seen a significant increase in video sessions during the COVID-19 pandemic. Founder Brandon Welch reported that the service hosted around 250,000 sessions in January and February, but by May, it was hosting a million sessions per day. Doxy.me focuses on keeping patient data secure, with the company not storing patient data and using open-source, standardized technology for video sessions. The company also plans to implement two-factor authentication and improve other security features in the future.
