ATA partners with ORCHA to develop approved app library

The American Telemedicine Association (ATA) has partnered with UK-based Organisation for the Review of Care and Health Apps (ORCHA) to provide patients with safe and effective health apps. ORCHA’s review process assesses apps against over 300 measures, and the ATA will develop criteria for the US market and include approved apps in their library. Currently, only 15% of US health apps meet healthcare, security, or usability thresholds. The partnership aims to help healthcare providers and patients select the best apps.
