AT&T Data Breach Impacted “Nearly All” Customers
AT&T has reported a second data breach impacting “nearly all” its customers. This follows an earlier incident which compromised 7.6 million current accounts and 65.4 million former accounts. The latest “unrelated” breach released files containing records of calls and texts, but not their actual content or other personally identifiable information. An unspecified ‘very small’ number of customers were also affected by a further breach in 2023. AT&T insists that the stolen data is not publicly available.
