Attackers Request $50 Million to End NHS Ransomware

Russian-speaking hacker group, Qilin, is demanding a $50m ransom from Synnovis to end a ransomware attack that has disrupted numerous operations. The group had issued a 120 hour deadline for payment and threatened to post the stolen data online. Qilin has apparently targeted over 100 companies across multiple countries since mid-2022. It exploited a zero-day vulnerability to access Synnovis’ computers.
