Aussies affected in alleged Shell fuel data breach

Multinational oil and gas company Shell has suffered a data breach, allegedly from a threat actor known as “888”. Data of customers in several countries, including Australia, the UK, and Canada, has been affected, with leaked information relating to a customer loyalty program. Cybersecurity services have yet to verify the data. Shell was also known to have suffered from a non-ransomware related data breach the previous year.
