Australian Nonprofit Cyber Security Is So Poor It Might Be Affecting Donations

Australia’s not-for-profit sector, which employs 1.4 million people and generates $190 billion in revenue, is not prepared to handle modern IT security requirements, according to Infoxchange. The report found only 23% of organizations surveyed had implemented effective information security processes, and only 39% had multi-factor authentication in place. The lack of cybersecurity leaves nearly five million people and critical humanitarian causes at risk.
