Australia’s cloud usage significantly higher, increasing malware risk

Australia is a leader in cloud usage and malware delivered via cloud ecosystems, according to a report by Netskope Threat Labs. The study found that Australian workers used an average of 30 different cloud apps monthly, and cloud malware delivery accounted for 64% of all malware deliveries. The research also revealed that legacy security technology is often unable to provide data control and visibility over cloud ecosystems. Netskope adds that organisations should enhance application and network monitoring to include cloud use.
