Australia’s encrypted cyber attacks rise despite security efforts
Despite Australia’s ambition to be the most cyber secure country by 2030, it is one of the five nations most targeted by encrypted cyber attacks, according to a Zscaler report. With an 86% delivery rate, threats including malware, ransomware and phishing attacks use encrypted channels. The study found manufacturing to be the most targeted sector, while education and government are experiencing the most significant increase in attacks. Zscaler recommends a Zero Trust Network Access solution and AI/ML technology to manage the threat landscape.
