Authorities investigate LabHost users after phishing service shut down
A global operation led by the London Metropolitan Police has shut down LabHost, a platform that offered phishing-as-a-service. Authorities from 19 countries raided 70 addresses, arresting 34 people. LabHost offered subscribers over 170 fake websites, along with tools for stealing personal information. Among those arrested were four people in the UK allegedly running the service, including LabHost’s original developer. Over one million user credentials and almost 500,000 compromised credit cards were found on LabHost’s infrastructure.
