B+ security rating masks healthcare supply chain risks

The US healthcare sector received a “B+” security rating in H1 2024, with an increased cyber risk in the supply chain, according to SecurityScorecard. While the industry exceeded expectations with an average score of 88, a “B” rating means organisations are nearly three times more likely to experience data breaches. The sector is a top target for third-party breaches and ransomware attacks, with medical device and equipment companies particularly vulnerable.
