Babylon Health admits GP at Hand app data breach caused by ‘software issue’

Babylon Health, the London-based digital firm, has admitted to a data breach which allowed a patient to access another patient’s consultation records via the GP at Hand app. The company claims the breach was due to a new feature in the app and that it affected only a small group of people. Babylon alerted the Information Commissioner’s Office and contacted affected patients.
