Banking apps get enhanced measures to protect users against malware scams

Major retail banks in Singapore, such as OCBC and Citibank, have fortified their banking apps with enhanced anti-malware security measures. The Association of Banks in Singapore (ABS) says these measures will detect and react to malware on customers’ devices to combat evolving threats. Despite potentially impacting user experience, ABS and the Monetary Authority of Singapore emphasise the importance of continual measures against scams. The public is urged to remain alert to scam advisories and avoid downloading suspect files.
