BBC, Boots, British Airways among victims of mass cyber attack

The personal data of employees from both public and private organisations have been exposed following a breach of the MOVEit Transfer tool. Zellis, a payroll provider for several companies including the BBC, Boots, British Airways and Aer Lingus, stated that eight of their clients were affected. Microsoft linked the hackers to the notorious Russian Cl0p ransomware group. The affected companies were warned about potential theft of personal data of their employees, however, no reports of ransomware demands have been reported yet.
