Beware of fake browser updates on your Mac

The ClearFake malware campaign disguises itself as a fake web browser update and aims to steal personal data from both Mac and Windows users. The malicious software, Atomic Stealer, is then deployed through seemingly legitimate websites and masks itself as a Google Chrome or Safari update. To protect yourself, use reliable antivirus software, avoid suspicious links, use strong and unique passwords, enable two-factor authentication, and be mindful of what you share online.
