Beware of new Android malware hiding in popular apps
A new Android trojan named Xamalicious was found in 13 apps on the Google Play Store, which have now been removed. The trojan uses these apps to bypass accessibility features, take over the device and access information for use in data breaches. Even though Google has removed these apps, any downloaded apps will not be deleted from devices. Anti-virus software and vigilance while downloading apps can help protect against such malware.
