Bill Calls for CISA, HHS Effort to Boost Health Sector Cyber

Three US senators have introduced a bill aimed at improving healthcare sector cybersecurity by increasing collaboration between the Department of Health and Human Services and the Cybersecurity Infrastructure and Security Agency. The Healthcare Cybersecurity Act of 2024, initiated by Senators Jacky Rosen, Todd Young, and Angus King, comes after major cyberattacks such as the ransomware hit on UnitedHealth Group’s Change Healthcare IT services that affected up to 100 million individuals.
