Black Basta Cybersecurity Advisory: Endpoint Protection for Healthcare

The global rise in cyberattacks, particularly within the healthcare sector, has prompted calls for stronger system security. Recent studies highlight that the majority of security breaches occur at the endpoint, with hacking, specifically phishing, being the most common method. Ransomware-as-a-service (RaaS) provider, Black Basta, has been identified as one of the significant threats. The group has targeted numerous private and critical infrastructure organizations, including healthcare companies. To counter such threats, adoption of preventative security models like IGEL and the implementation of secure operating systems are recommended.
