BlankBot Trojan Targets Turkish Android Users

A sophisticated Android program named BlankBot, targeting Turkish-language speakers, has been discovered, sophisticatedly designed to capture screen activity and keystrokes. It also overlays realistic imitations of financial account pages to gather users’ sensitive information. Near-undetectable by current anti-malware technology, the malware is suspected to have been created by skilled Android application developers for cybercrime purposes, particularly for financial gain. Despite focusing on Turkey, the malware can be localized to target users in other regions.
