Blood tests delayed as fallout from cyber attack on London hospitals continues
A cyberattack carried out by alleged Russian hackers on London-based pathology firm Synnovis is expected to severely delay medical procedures including operations and blood tests across the city for more than two months. Hospitals including King’s College Hospital and Guy’s and St Thomas Trust had to declare a critical incident and were unable to carry out blood transfusions following the attack.
