Bola Tinubu’s Nigeria election win: The rigging claims of Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar
Nigeria’s contested presidential election has been won by Bola Ahmed Tinubu, according to declarations by the country’s Independent National Electoral Commission (Inec). However, opposition parties have disputed the result, alleging rigging, breach of electoral regulations, and collusion by Inec. The allegations focus on a new electronic voting system, with opposition parties claiming problems uploading results from polling stations were evidence of rigging. Inec and Tinubu’s party, the All Progressives Congress, deny the charges. The Labour Party, whose candidate came third, plans to challenge the result in court.
