Breaking down the barriers to entry in the cyber security industry
Cybersecurity Ventures predicts a 350% increase in global cybersecurity jobs by 2025 – about 3.5 million jobs. However, high expectations for entry-level experience and advanced qualifications form barriers to entry, while companies themselves often make it difficult to fill these positions. Lack of diversity and inclusion, dissatisfaction from too many administrative tasks, overwork, and lack of variety and interest in roles are all identified as issues within the industry.
