BREAKING: MediSecure declares insolvency following massive data breach

E-prescription firm MediSecure has filed for voluntary insolvency following a large-scale data breach. In May, 6.5TB of patient and doctor data was stolen and offered for sale online. FTI Consulting has taken over as administrators to investigate the incident on behalf of the Australian government. The initial meeting of MediSecure’s creditors will occur on 14 June 2024.
