Britain’s NHS reels from a ransomware attack

The National Health Service (NHS) in the UK has become a target for a cyber attack by a Russian gang, Qilin. The attack, which mainly targeted health-care firm Synnovis’ systems, affected data of around 100,000 daily blood tests. A number of hospital trusts and primary care providers across London were also impacted.
